Comprehensive whole-house remodel and modest addition that reconfigured the home's interior around a modern courtyard while updating the exterior with clean contemporary detailing and expansive new glazing.

This La Jolla residence underwent a comprehensive whole-house remodel and carefully designed addition that modernized the home while respecting the architectural character of the La Jolla Shores Planned District. The project included a 396-square-foot addition, complete interior reconfiguration, a redesigned primary suite, remodeled kitchen, expanded living and dining areas, and extensive exterior improvements that strengthened the home's connection to the central courtyard.

ABC Design prepared the permit-ready construction documents and coordinated the project through both the City of San Diego building permit process and the La Jolla Shores Planned District review. The scope included architectural design, structural coordination, energy compliance, stormwater requirements, exterior modernization, and consultant coordination to successfully obtain community design approval and construction permits.
